Method of Preparation

  1. Boil the potatoes until soft, peel them, and mash well in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped onion, coriander, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and Up It! to the mashed potatoes.
  3. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth dough-like mixture. If too dry, sprinkle little water. Shape into equal-sized round tikkis (patties).
  4. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Place the tikkis and shallow fry on medium flame until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  5. Drizzle lemon juice and sprinkle fresh coriander. Serve hot with green chutney or yogurt dip.
