Arrabiata Pasta (Red Sauce) Recipe | Prolicious 2X Protein

The phrase "pasta with garlic and oil" is known as pasta Aglio e olio. Little else is present in the traditional dish save these components. Even these are optional; it might be topped with a dusting of parsley or a dash of red pepper flakes. This traditional Italian pasta is made with Prolicious high protein pasta, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in its most basic form. making it delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients

For Pasta

For Marinara Sauce

  • Tomato 3 cups or 750 grams 

  • Dried Italian herbs 1 ½ tbsp or 22 grams 

  • Garlic clove 4-5  

  • Salt 1 tsp 

  • Pepper 1 tsp or 5 grams 

  • Sugar ½ tbsp or 7.5 grams 

  • Cashews grated ½ tbsp or 7.5 grams 

 



Instructions

For Preparation for Pasta

  • Add the Prolicious Pasta and cook it for 12 mins till the al dente texture. 

  • Add some salt to 4 cups of water and bring it to boil.  

  • Depending on your taste preferences, you can even cook them till they are completely done  

  • Drain the Prolicious pasta, toss it with a little olive oil (so that it doesn’t stick together) and let it cool to room temperature

For Preparation of Sauce

  • Take 750 grams of tomatoes and make a puree 

  • Add the oil in heated chopped garlic cloves  

  • Italian seasonings and let it simmer for 2 minutes in a medium flame.

For Combining of Pasta & Pesto Sauce  

  • In a saucepan, add the boiled pasta. 

  • Add the seasoned tomato puree to the pasta and add some chopped basil leaves and give it a stir on low flame 

  • Cook for 2 minutes and put off the flame 

  • Grate some raw cashews. Serve hot. Enjoy! 


Tips, Tricks & Facts

  • Cashews can be added instead of cheese to give it a creamy taste and texture  

  • This arrabbiata sauce can also be used in the preparation of pizzas, as a dipping sauce as well as subs and sandwiches.
